Stahls E- News

For making so many children's Christmas merrier with the toys you donated! Last Saturday you heard the need and responded and we at Stahl's, and Kent Social Services thank you!

Now for this Saturday, we're letting you know about a completely different activity Stahl's is participating in ~ the Christmas Farmers' Market. As last year, the nice gentlemen of the law offices of Williams, Welser and Kratcowski are opening their garage to us, and abandoning their own cars elsewhere so our customers may use their parking lot. If you're not sure where it is, the closest landmarks are the Cuyahoga River and the Kent Free Library. The WW&K office is on the west side of the river, at the corner of River Street and Main. Don't forget that River St. is one-way, so be sure to come down from Haymaker Parkway, or if you'd just like to park at the library, turn into the library from Main St.

We'll be easy to spot: Stahl's is the first booth on the left as you come in. Also the last booth on the right as you leave! You know what that means? You can get something right off the bat to munch on, then pick up something larger on your way out! In fact, if you'd like to pick out your Challah, Apple Pie, Buche de Noel, or Mint~Chocolate Torte (4 layers of mint chocolate cake separated by mint frosting) on your way in, we'll be happy to hold them back for you. After all, Holiday spirit is all well and good, but what if someone else starts eyeballing what you saw first?!? This way you can be sure what you spotted on the way in is what you get on the way out, leaving your hands free to shop the rest of the market. Of course we won't only be bringing large items. Save some room in your market bag for Frosted Cookies, Pizzelles, Czech Pastries, Peppermint Bark, and Raspberry Truffles! That's right, Truffles are back!

The Indoor Farmers' Market will be held from 9 am to 2 pm (an hour later than the outdoor market), and will conclude next Saturday, Dec. 19. Sneak preview for our next week's offerings: Dog Biscuits, Nut Rolls, Candy Coal, & Gingerbread Houses!

What about Friday? Last call for Curried Pumpkin Soup. Served with herb roll for $4.25. If you're a big fan - and you know you are - better get an extra bowl for a snowy day; this soup freezes very well.
