Happy December!

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! And if you didn't, of course you can try again this weekend. We'll have some pies, cakes & coffee cakes ready to go, but if you want something specific, be SURE to call & pre-order. Why? Well, there's a reason we ran out of pie the day before Thanksgiving... What to chose from? Pumpkin, of course, Cherry, and as always, we've made fresh Apple filling for either Traditional Apple Pie, or Caramel-Apple Crumb. Mmmm.

Maybe you're ready to dive into the Advent season & want a cake or cookie tray, or just something to keep your own strength up without sharing. Stop on in! And as an added bonus, you can pull in right in front of our won't have to scramble for change or wait for the mayor to declare a 'free-parking day' – our parking lot is always free for customers.

How about an added, added bonus this Saturday? The Saturday after Thanksgiving is called “Small Business Saturday.” Did you patronize* a small local business that Saturday or any day last week? If so, show us your receipt & get a free Christmas Tree or Lg Stocking Cookie. The rules: we need to see your receipt for $10 or more from a small retail business in Portage County. No chains, no food (except us). So to recap: you laid 10 small on Figleaf? No cookie (chain). Ellie May's Vintage Boutique in Ravenna? Cookie! You stopped for a delicious sub at Franklin Square Deli? No cookie (Carl does make the best subs in town, but rules are rules). All your Thanksgiving pies from Stahl's? Cookie! Cool pair of kicks from Long's Shoes? No cookie (that was a trick question – Long's is a superlative family business, but they're in Summit Co.) Got some fun things at The Works? Cookie!

Consider scheduling us toward the beginning of your Saturday morning roaming. Don't forget that we close at 1 on Saturday, so don't come sniffing around at 2:30 for a free cookie.

And as for the rest of this week:

Soup = Chunky Tomato Bisque w/ Italian Roll, $4.25/ 16 oz.

*that means actually bought something, not just looked around.
