Back in the swing of things...

If you've been looking around town thinking, “Is it just me, or are things getting more lively around here?” Well, it's not just you. The public school students' Christmas Break ended first. but as of this week, the KSU students are back, too. And just in time for some Hearty Beef Barley Soup! We don't discriminate, though – anyone can buy a pound of soup (with roll), not just students. Which is convenient, since everyone's been feeling the chill lately. And if you're wondering how good could soup possibly be for you, well, just remember that beef is a good source of protein and barley is an excellent source of dietary fiber, something we've been hearing a lot about when it comes to heart health & cholesterol concerns.

Are you still on a football high following OSU's National win a few days ago? We'll be making Football Frosted Cookies this weekend & also some Buckeyes (peanut butter & chocolate candy). If you're having a celebratory get-together & want a number of these, be sure to call us at (330) 673-9244 and reserve yours ahead. We'll be making Buckeye candy through Valentine's Day, so don't fret if you know you'll want some after this weekend. Speaking of candy, we've been rolling out the Dark Chocolate Raspberry Truffles, and will continue to have them at least until Valentine's Day also.

If you've seen our facebook posts lately, you know that we're making Giant Mitten Cookies, but you now have a sneak peek that hasn't appeared on FB yet: Next week marks the 8th annual mitten exchange. Come in, draw a mitten for our wall (your hand is the template), and get a Giant Mitten Cookie in exchange. Pass the word along, because you don't want your family & friends to smell your mitten breath and not get any themselves.

Sneak peek for next week:

Curried Pumpkin Soup
