...of pretty PURPLE peppers?!?

Yep, for the last few weeks, Crow's Farm has been bringing purple peppers to the Stow Community Farmers' Market! You can use them just like green peppers, which is what they taste like. When heated, they turn red, but if you leave them at room temperature or colder, such as chopped in a salad, they add some visual pop as well as flavor! (Lots of luck finding something that cool in a supermarket)

We won't be bringing anything purple this week, but we will have some very colorful Fall Leaves Frosted Cookies making the trip with us from Kent. Along with things like Caramel-filled Brownies, Almond Petit-Fours, Czech Pastries, and Dried Tomato-Basil Bread. We'll also be bringing Cherry Pie in both full family size and individual “go away I'm going to eat this by myself” size. But no Pumpkin Pie until next week. If you're too impatient to wait, though, Silver Dollar Farm will be bringing pie pumpkins along, so you can DIY a pie.

Saturday should be a lovely day at the market, complete with music by Dale Galgozy, make & take crafts at the kids' booth, and representatives from the Western-Reserve Hospital will be in the community booth giving free blood pressure checks.

See you Saturday!
