Stahls E- News

Have you noticed? About six weeks ago it started. Slowly, one at a time, building and building until....constant Back-to-school ads! And some of them are so darned catchy that...”My school bus is my limo” could be the new replacement for “The Wheels on the Bus.” (and now you're singing it, aren't you?) But the stampede is already slowing down, signifying that students are mostly back in school nationwide. Locally, Kent State started this past Monday, and Kent Public Schools have staggered between Wednesday and Thursday, while Stow-Munroe Falls started feathering kids in Monday through Wednesday. Sort of a running start before the first day off, Labor Day (unless you're based in Canfield – nothing interferes with The Fair)

So back to school, back to schedule, back to routine. And although that sounds like it must be boring, it sure doesn't have to be. Take school (or work) lunches, for instance. The first element is the sandwich. Whatever you put inside, it won't be much of a lunch if the bread isn't first-rate. Stahl's to the rescue! This Saturday at the Stow Community Farmers' Market, we'll be bringing Oatmeal-Molasses Bread. Great for breakfast toast, lunch sandwiches, or just gnawing on when the ravenous young scholars return home. Then there's the treat, and we've got you covered there, too. We'll be bringing cookies already bagged up, so all you have to do is drop it into the lunch. No-brainers like that sure do ease the transition of getting back into a routine. We'll be bringing Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal-Raisin, Sugar-Nutmeg, and Gingersnap cookies 3/bag, and frosted Baseball, Butterfly, and Watermelon cookies 2/bag. And for more grownup lunch packing, we'll be bringing Pizzelles, Caramel-filled Brownies, Coconut Macaroons, Czech Pastries, and Cupcakes. Of course there's no law that says you have to save these for lunch; you're a grownup! Eat when you want!

See you Saturday!
