Stahls E- News

Do you remember last year's Cider Fest? There was cider (natch) & apples from Beckwith’s , pumpkin painting, and even a cider press that anyone could try. Stahl’s was there, too, as we have been every year since the Cider Fest began. But even with all that fun stuff, there was no dancing in the form of clogging. Why? Because cloggers need musicians, and musicians need their instruments, and their instruments need to be dry. Musician's fingers don't much care for freezing weather, either*. And last year the weather for the 'Fest was miserably rainy & cold.  Blech. This year, though, it's being held a couple of weeks early, and according to the long-range forecast, Saturday should be dry, sunny, and comfortably in the '50s. Just right for clogging, playing music, pressing cider, painting pumpkins, and of course treating yourself to some goodies from Stahl’s! Because we'll be at the Cider Fest this Saturday, we won't be at the Haymaker Farmers' Market, but will return to our regularly scheduled booth there the last Saturday of October to finish out the season.

Do you have a favorite Stahl's cookie? Be sure to share on Main St. Kent's facebook page!

And the long-awaited soup announcement....Curried Pumpkin Soup starts next week! Soup season has finally arrived!

*Don't go by Brian Henke; he's pretty much the iron man of guitar.
