Go eat a kite?

You were expecting the imperative, “go fly a kite,” weren't you? You could do that too; after all a cold front is blowing in right about now, so there's plenty of wind. If you want to stand in the cold, getting a face full of freezing rain, sleet, and snow, that is. A more comfortable alternative would be to come to Stahl's and get hold of some of our new Kite Cookies. They're a much more tasty alternative to the aforementioned sleet, too. Medium-sized cookies have kites in a variety of colors, the large ones have three kites flying over a cloudy background.

Perhaps you're looking for something a bit more substantial to start your kite-eating activity? Tomato-Basil Soup is just the thing. Tomatoes, basil, olive oil, a bit of garlic, a pinch of thyme, (a few other spices & herbs, too) and some white wine to fill out the wonderful flavors. Served with a roll, a 16oz. bowl is only $3.25. It's vegetarian, so try it for Friday's meatless Lenten lunch, too. Thanks to City Bank Antiques' owner, Karen Barrett for the soup suggestion!
