This Saturday should be a good one! The sun has been scheduled to shine, but the fierce weather has broken...at least for a while.

This week's music at the market guests are the Galgozy & Zeleny Duo, bringing an eclectic mix of Americana both old and new.

Not to be outdone, we at Stahl's will also be bringing an eclectic mix. This week's variety bread is Dilly Bread, using dill from local farm & Haymaker vendor, Black Dog Acres. Need an individual savory fix? Mini herb focaccias are back, topped with rosemary or onion and tomato. Of course there are always the sweets to balance the savories; traditional drop cookies (Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal, Gingersnap, Sugar-Nutmeg, and Peanut Butter), frosted cutouts, and anise pizzelles.

Do you realize this will be the last Saturday in July? Hard to believe, but summer's whizzin' by. Have you gotten everything done you'd planned? Or have the days slipped past? Here's a way to save some of that fleeting time for more worthy projects: don't eat breakfast before you come to Stahl's at the market. Just roll out of bed & come over hungry. We'll wake you up with some Iced Coffee (chilled with coffee ice so as not to dilute the delicious Columbian Organic flavor). Once your eyes are open, reach out and pick up something solid. You know, to keep up your strength! Cinnamon Rolls, Cream Cheese Bear Claws, Fruit Snails, Blueberry & Raspberry Muffins, and for a group treat, Cherry-Cheese Tea Rings.

Have you been getting all your summer salad fixin's here at the market? Lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, scallions, radishes, carrots and the like? We don't carry any of those, of course, but that tasty-sounding mix is a salad just dying for our new Rosemary-Garlic Croutons.

You know what? You should take in a movie on Friday evening to kick off the weekend. We suggest "To Kill a Mockingbird." And you don't even have to rent it; D.I.C.E. (Downtown Innovative Community Events) has scheduled this 1962 classic for its free July Sidewalk Cinema showing. You can bring your own popcorn if you wish, but Little Ceasar's will be supplying free pizza between 8:30 and 9 at Home Savings Plaza at the NW corner of Main and Water.
